This one was created with George, and can be cut on the Personal, Create and Expression Machines - Just change the mat size if necessary. You can download this one from my sidebar, "Teddy Bear" listed under "Miscellaneous".

Fancy Favor Bag Like Stampin' Up! - With Scallop Edge

Ok... here it is, the Fancy Favor Bag like Stampin' Up!'s, but with a Scalloped Edge top. Made this version for those of you that don't make a straight cut when using decorative scissors. Again, in order to keep the specs of the original cut, this needs to be cut on the Expression. Sorry if you don't have one. You can check my sidebar for other cuts that may fit on the 6 x 12 mat.

Here's a sample of the cut.... I added a strip of cardstock to work as a handle for the bag. Image is from Two Scoops Rice Designs.

Cartridge Used: George

Download Cut File from sidebar: "Fancy Favor Bag - Scallop Edge", under section for Bag, Boxes & Favors...

For the straight edge cut, scroll down to see the previous post.

Bag Cut Like Stampin Up!'s Fancy Favor

Sorry it's taken me awhile to post this... lots of things going on, and if you keep up with me on my Pieces Of Me blog, you'll know that I started helping out at my son's school during lunch on some days. So it's been quite crazy trying to fit creating and posting time in my schedule. I just Praise God for these times that I can find to fit even a lil' bit in....

Anyways, so here is a bag I created on the DS program, it's like the Stampin' Up! Fancy Favor Bag that is currently being sold in their catalog. I left the top portion of the bag a straight edge, so that an edge cut to be cut with a decorative scissors, or blade. I chose the "Victorian" scissor cut to get as close as possible to the SU! Fancy Favor Bag. The image that I used on the bag is called "Geisha Anya" and can be purchased at my online store: Little C's Stamps n' Things.... I colored her with my copics.

Cartridge I used: George

You can download this cut file by clicking on the "Fancy Favor Box - Like Stampin' Up!" on the sidebar of my blog, located under "DS Files of BAGS, BOXES n' FAVORS" - You need the "DS Program" or Design Studio program, along with the George cartridge to cut this cut file. Also, in order to conform with the same specs of Stampin' Up!'s bag, it can only be cut on the Expression Machine. If you are looking for a smaller version that can be cut on the smaller machines, check out some of the other bags that I have on the side bar a "6 x 12" will be noted next to it.

I will be posting another cut of the same kind soon, but with a scallop edge, for those of us that don't have a "straight" cut when it comes to using decorative scissors.

Blessed Cricutin',
Hugs ~ Jen

Scallop Favor Bag Cut - George and Mini Monograms

Inspired by the Sizzix Scallop Favor Bag (pic shown here on the right), I've created this cut on my DS program. You can use with the basket, or without. You could probably increase the size of the Scallop sides as well, if you would like the favor to be bigger.

I used George and Mini Monogram cartridges to make this cut. You can download the cut file by clicking on link "Scallop Favor Bag" under "Bags, Boxes n' Favors" on my sidebar.

Here is the photo shot of the cut on DS:

Here are my samples....

Enjoy!

Star Cuts from George

Trying to use my Cricut cuts on my projects, makes me feel that it was even MORE worth the cost. =0) I cut the stars on my Cricut Expression from George. Used my DS program to cut multiples of them, and different size to layer. Love the EASE of it all! Image and sentiment are from Digital Delights.

Large 5x7 Purse

This purse measures about 5 x 7 x 2. I had so much fun creating it!!

Cartridge used: George (simple with rectangle n' square, so you can use Plantin as well - just need to make your own).

To Make: Cut 2 of the Panels for Purse. Score on score dashes. Flip one, and adhere sides and bottoms. Cut Flap for purse on DSP paper, score on score dashes. Adhere shortest part of the scored flap to the back of your purse. Flowers are crumpled, and then inked. Layered from largest to smallest, and button for embellished look.

To make strap: Cut 2 matching cardstock strips of 1/2" each. Attach together but adjust to length of your liking. Cut 1/4" strip of matching DSP and layer on top of strap. Brads to attach strap to purse.

Box Similar to Sizzix #2 box, Made with my Cricut Design Studio

Here it is... the box I've promised all of you.... I got the box from my dear friend, Wini at Easter. I took her box apart, and basically created one of my own using the DS program. The bottom part of the box I created differs from the one that Sizzix sells, but nonetheless, it pretty much looks the same....

I made 2 designs, 1 using George, and the other using Plantin.

This is the 1st project I created using my Cricut cut of this box. I made this for my friend Tiffany, who is getting married next month.... I made them as favors....

Here's another creation using the same cut, and HK cartridge! I have this sample featured at J's Knicknacks.

Cricut Projects from Cricut Class 4/24/09

Hey All...

So I've been creating with my Cricut a lot lately - but haven't had much time to post. Just wanted to share what we did on my Cricut Class 4/24/09. It was a basic class, a refresher for those that use the Design Studio together with the Cricut Machine. I introduced the ladies to Cricut.Com where they could check out the community board, check out new cartridges, redeem reward certrificates and other fun stuffs. The main thing though was to share with them how to look or ask for a certain cut file on the community board, and how to go about downloading and saving it to your computer. We did a simple project, which was this cake cut file. Pleaes note: You cannot use the files unless you have 2 things: 1) The Design Studio Program, and 2) The cartridge(s) that were used to create the cut file. Also, you cannot use a friend's DS program, as it is limited to 1 download per serial # (which by the way can be found on the envelope of the DS disc).

The cake cut file was a simple enough cut file to download, save, open in DS, and then cut ourselves. We had fun cutting and creating our pieces of cakes. We all had the White cake with chocolate flowery filling, but I had to experiment with another, and make a guava cake for my Hawaiian sistahs.

I've used CB folders on both cakes - the top one used "Swiss Dots" and this guave cake used "Curlz n' Swirlz". For the guava cake, I used the ink to paper method, and ink'd up the edges of my cake, as well as the swirlz on the top. Then added some ribbon on the top left to make it look like frosting alon the edges. Yummmm-Y! Makes you wanna have a chunk of it, doesn't it?!?! Anyways, if you have a Cricut Machine and the DS program, and would like to cut this file - head on over to Shirley's blog: Paper, Scissots, Ink and you will find the cut there.

The other project that the ladies wanted to do was the Mini backpack. Wini said, "let's do the backpack"... so we did. After cutting all the pieces and looking through the cut, I realized that there is some room for improvement - so I'm going to work on fixing the cut file for that... maybe add a little something special.... but here is the backpack that Irene put together. I didn't get a pic of mines or Wini's, as they are both the same....

For this mini backpack - you can download it here - or look on my sidebar, and you will find it under "mini backpack". I'm still working on a larger cut. =0) I am thinking about making these for the last day of school for the teacher's - notice I didn't say kids... they wouldn't appreciate it, huh?!?!

The last project I showed the ladies were that with the DS program, you could take practically ANY design cut, and create it as the front part of a card - that is with this red high heel shoe card here. I didn't really dress it up, did I?! It's just something I wanted to share with them.

Well, today - I have Glama Gurl Evie coming over. I'm doing a 1-on-1 Cricut Class with her. Should be FUN!!!

Oh, and guess what?!?! I've finished with the Sizzix Box #2 cut (the one SU! is currently selling)... I will share that with you all SOON!!!

Big Hugs n' have an awesomely blessed Wednesday!!!

Aloha,
Jen
